NEXIO WOMEN
Empowering women to lead the transformation of their communities.
NEXIO Women connects experienced women professionals with women-led enterprises, cooperatives, and community groups across the Indian Ocean rim. Through structured mentorship, business coaching, and knowledge transfer, NEXIO Women builds economic resilience where it matters most — in the hands of women who feed, teach, heal, and sustain their communities.
Focus areas: entrepreneurship, financial literacy, agri-business, health, leadership, and trade.
NEXIO YOUTH
Youth are not NEXIO's future — they are its present.
NEXIO Youth mobilises young people between 18 and 35 as both knowledge seekers and emerging knowledge contributors. Through digital skills, enterprise incubation, mentorship, and purpose-driven leadership, NEXIO Youth creates pathways from potential to impact — connecting young people across the Indian Ocean with the networks, skills, and opportunities they deserve.
Focus areas: digital skills, entrepreneurship, leadership, climate action, and innovation.
NEXIO ECO
Restoring nature. Restoring dignity. Restoring the future.
NEXIO Eco is the environmental and regenerative pillar of the NEXIO network. It connects eco-enterprise practitioners, conservation experts, and sustainability professionals with communities, cooperatives, and organisations working at the intersection of ecology and livelihood. NEXIO Eco operates on the conviction that caring for nature and caring for people are not separate goals.
Focus areas: regenerative agriculture, clean energy, circular economy, biodiversity, blue economy, and agroforestry.
NEXIO EXPRESS
Healthy food. Dignified livelihoods. Replicable impact.
NEXIO Express is the community enterprise arm of the NEXIO network — a practical, ground-level model providing accessible, affordable, and nutritious food options through community-based micro-enterprises. It creates dignified livelihood opportunities, particularly for women and youth, while addressing food security and nutrition at the neighbourhood level.
Focus areas: community nutrition, micro-enterprise, women and youth employment, food systems, replicable models.
NEXIO MADAGASCAR
NEXIO's pilot country. The Indian Ocean's most underrepresented opportunity.
Madagascar is NEXIO's operational home base and pilot zone — and one of the most biodiverse, resource-rich, and underserved nations in the world. NEXIO Madagascar channels expertise directly into Malagasy cooperatives, agricultural producers, SMEs, and communities, while positioning the island as a model for Indian Ocean-wide knowledge exchange and sustainable development.
Focus areas: natural products, cooperative enterprise, sustainable agriculture, energy transition, trade capacity, and community development.
NEXIO SCHOOL OF LIFE

NEXIO School of Life is the long-term educational vision at the heart of the NEXIO network — a purpose-based, hands-on alternative education model that equips children and young people with identity, practical skills, and the wisdom to build sustainable lives. Not a school in the conventional sense, but a restoration of how learning was always meant to be: grounded in community, in nature, and in the fullness of what it means to be human.
